and The Internet Newsletter
The story is unique when told through Rose’s eyes. Touching on the adult world it deals with events most younger children would not encounter; politics, espionage, world trade and how they affect our lives.
It also points out how child-like many people are in their understanding of the world they live in; how many of them believe whatever they hear and never give much thought to how things really work. Is the fact that hamburgers come from cows any stranger then finding brick seeds to grow fireplaces and pre-fab buildings?
It is a book that makes us think. It also empowers young people in the way our children were-by planting a curiosity in them that makes them wonder. In the story, Grandpa’s stories plant an insatiable curiosity in Rose, inspiring her to become an investigative reporter with the dream of winning the Pulitzer some day!
In 2008 Ramblin' Rose adds to her adventures! Ramblin' Rose is now available as a series with an all new adventure being released that is her biggest yet; The Chinese Fortune Cookie. Another top secret project is also in the works. Keep up with Rose and travel the world with her. You never know where the cookie crumbs will lead.
The action-adventure series includes:

The Porcelain Mines in Russia - From New York to Russia and back, it's every parents' nightmare as Rose and her newfound friends evade kidnappers and renegade agents and find out that Grandpa was right again - there really are porcelain mines in Russia.

The Wire Forests of Peru: - On Vacation with her family, Rose is about to find there was some truth in Grandpa's story after all about where wire came from. Who would have thought that it would foil a terrorist plot?

The Secret in the Arctic Ice: - Everything comes full circle as Rose encounters an old nemesis as she stumbles onto a hidden connection between the events on both coasts, a secret buried in the Arctic Ice, and a project name True-Whip Incorporated.

The Chinese Fortune Cookie: - A case of mistaken identity sets Rose and her family on a trail that leads from Minneapolis to San Francisco, Honolulu and Hong Kong as they follow the trail of cookie crumbs to track down a well-heeled art thief.
“Oh, Grandpa,” six-year-old Rose would say as she sat on her grandfather’s lap listening to his wild stories about the world. Even then she could spot a tall tale. Things like the pipe farms of Paraguay and the carpet farms of Canada just couldn’t be true. But, Grandpa had a way of making them real.
“Now, Rose, there is always some truth in every story! It’s up to you to find it and get a hold on it.” Rose could hear him say as she looked into his casket.
“I will, Grandpa, I will.”
Now, Twelve and the editor of her school newsletter, Rose never forgot his stories. A tug-of-war with her dog, Samson the Great and a collision with her mother’s china cabinet send her on a quest to replace a rare porcelain plate.
From New York to Russia, Peru and Alaska it’s every parent’s nightmare as Rose encounters kidnappers, spies and family secrets on a trip around the world and learns the truth about her grandfather’s stories.
